Berries

These fruits may protect your body with powerful anti-cancer nutrients known as anthocyans, which play a great role in cell repair. Research shows anthocyans may decrease the risk of several cancers, including those in the breast and gastrointestinal tract. Berries are also high in vitamin C and folic acid, which is essential for all women. And they offer powerful anti-oxidant protection, which not only protects the heart but also may protect against skin aging, and reduces the risk of urinary tract infections in women.

Fish

Women and young children in particular should include fish in their diets due to its nutritional benefits. Fish contains high-quality protein and other essential nutrients, are low in saturated fat, and contain omega-3 fatty acids. Eat up to 12 ounces (2 average meals) a week of a variety of fish that are lower in mercury.

Soy

Evidence suggests soy may be helpful for conditions and diseases associated with menopause. Studies show soy as an alternative to hormone replacement therapy (HRT) because it is a natural dietary source of Isoflavones, a class of chemical compounds which affect the body in some ways similar to estrogen. Research shows that women eating largest amount of soy foods are 64 percentages less likely to have breast cancer and other reproductive-organ cancers.
